Dolaa Earrings

Based on the “Dola hastha mudra” in Bharatnatyam, these earrings try to mimic the graceful positioning of the hands of the dancers during a recital. Clusters of hand-done pearl droplets have been arranged around carved silver jhumkas to form this interesting piece.

The jewellery is handcrafted by artisans using different piroi techniques which involve looping, twisting and shaping wires of different types. they also use techniques like carving, reticulation, meenakari, kundankari, enamel work, dori work, takkar work, thread work, needlework, etc.
