 Burnouts And How To Tackle?

Burnout is a state of emotional, physical, and mental exhaustion caused by excessive and prolonged stress. It occurs when you feel overwhelmed, emotionally drained, and unable to meet constant demands

There are different types of burnout, including overload burnout, which happens when you work harder and more frantically to achieve success, neglect burnout, which occurs when you aren't given enough structure or guidance in the workplace, and worn-out burnout, which results from feeling helpless in the face of challenges

STORYTIME:

I’ve recently been dealing with burnout and my impulsive instinct was to not tend to it thinking that it's going to subside eventually but it has always seemed to have a get to a point where physically being able to even converse or the thought of it seem tiring and every aspect of my life was seeming very pessimistic in approach. This wasn't even the worst-case scenario just the most recent and as a college student or working individual I'm sure many experiences this and it's important to step back and acknowledge our body’s signs to take a break when required rather than push through until you can't lift a finger, there are ways to take care of burnout and keep our self in a health check.

To overcome burnout, here are some strategies you can try:

Recognize the signs: Pay attention to the warning signs of burnout, such as feeling exhausted, losing interest in your work, and experiencing physical and emotional fatigue

Prioritize self-care: Take care of your physical and emotional well-being by prioritizing good sleep habits, engaging in regular exercise, and practicing relaxation techniques like meditation or deep breathing

Set boundaries: Establish clear boundaries between work and personal life. Learn to say no to excessive work demands and make time for activities that bring you joy and relaxation

Seek support: Reach out to friends, family, or colleagues for support. Talking about your feelings and concerns can help alleviate stress and provide a fresh perspective

Seek professional help: If burnout persists and significantly impacts your daily life, consider seeking help from a mental health professional. They can provide guidance and support in overcoming burnout

Remember, overcoming burnout is a process that takes time and self-care. By recognizing the signs, prioritizing your well-being, and seeking support, you can regain balance and overcome burnout.
