How to Deal With Pores.

The term pore is used to describe the small openings in the skin in which oil and sweat reach the surface from their respective glands below. It’s a common belief that your pores are like little apertures in camera lenses on auto mode , naturally opening and closing. But this is untrue. In fact, your pores are more like tiny indentations in your skin’s surface from which sebum (your skin’s natural oil) and sweat emerge. When they get clogged, it can result in a host of skin concerns. This happens when excess oil, dead skin cells, sweat, and other impurities accumulate inside. Dirty makeup brushes, certain skincare and products and makeup can also clog your pores, so look for the ones that say “non-comedogenic”. The trapped oil and dead skin cells can develop into pimples and acne breakouts.

Treatment for pores

  • Steaming
  • A steamy facial can help clean out pores, making them appear smaller, and giving your skin a fresh glow.

  • Facial masks
  • Masks that dry on the skin are effective at eliminating blackheads and may also help reduce the look of open pores. Try experimenting with several kinds to see which work best for you.

  • Exfoliation
  • Exfoliating your skin helps remove the things that clog up pores, such as oil and debris. Exfoliators work best when used daily or almost-daily. You can choose from a wide range of exfoliating products, including astringents, creams, and lotions.

  • Laser treatments
  • They work by rejuvenating collagen production and may be most effective for large pores caused by aging or sun damage. They may also be effective at reducing acne scars.

    Preventive care for pores

You can’t change your heredity or your age, but you can adopt a proactive skin care routine geared toward reducing the appearance of open pores. Such as-

    • Keep your skin clean with daily exfoliation.
    • Keep your skin protected from the sun by wearing sunscreen every day.
    • Opt for non-comedogenic skin care products that don’t clog pores.
    • Always moisturize your skin, even if it’s oily. There are moisturizers designed specifically for this skin type.
    • Use collagen-boosting products that contain antioxidants, which may also be beneficial for keeping your skin healthy.

Clogged pores may make you feel insecure about your face but there are things you can do to treat them and prevent them. In a young age it is common to have skin related issues, but they are nothing to be worried about. Just remember to take care of your skin and more importantly of yourself.
