How To Live Peacefully Amid Trauma

Trauma is a state of being in a situation continuously after experiencing an unpleasant situation. There are many reasons why a person may be traumatized. A person may be living in a traumatized state due to some unforgettable past events that lead to pain and heartbreak.  

One thing to always note about issues of trauma is that it is a thing that starts from the inner mind. Once an unpleasant issue occurs in a man’s life it tries to store in the subconscious mind box of the person. It will later spring up when issues of life call for it. And when it springs, it will result in trauma. 

Many have tried to overlook the issue of trauma but the fact remains that it will however have a bad effect on the living state of the person. It may have some other side effects on the person.

Types Of Trauma 

There are three main types of trauma and they might be caused by different things. They involve the following:

  • Acute Trauma
  • This is a kind of trauma that can be obtained from a single incident. It is a kind of incident that can happen from an event that occurred once. A typical example is Rape. 

  • Chronic Trauma
  • Chronic Trauma is a kind of trauma that can result from prolonged and repeated events such as domestic violence, abuse, and low self-esteem. 

  • Complex Trauma
  • This kind of trauma is a trauma that occurs from different and multiple events. That is, the events are many coming from different incidents. Such trauma can be emotional distress, several attempts of rape, abuse, and continuous child abuse.

    Living Peacefully Amid Trauma

    Living peacefully and staying calm during a trauma period is a very hard task for anyone. It is the most difficult thing to do. There are several ways to live peacefully amid trauma and a few of them are discussed below:

    1. Stay away from past experiences
    2. Read inspiring books
    3. Speak out
    4. Visit a clinical psychologist
    5. Do what you love.

    Conclusion

    You can overcome any kind of pain or trauma that you may be experiencing as much as you are ready to pay the sacrifice. Truly, trauma is a very serious case and can be disastrous sometimes but you must note that you can overcome it.
